Putting people at the center of safe design
We are a team of safety and human factors experts working with industries that make products and systems for end-users in high-consequence domains.
OUR APPROACH
Bridging the gap
With our uniquely integrated approach, we identify vulnerabilities throughout the design and implementation process and can address issues that have safety, cost, efficiency, training, and usability benefits.

Analysis
Using System Safety Analysis, a method of calculating risk in complex systems, and Human Factors Engineering, the science of applying physical and psychological information for human use, we gather quantitative and qualitative safety analyses and an in-depth understanding of use environments. Along with our knowledge of regulatory and operational constraints, we evaluate systems and interface workload demands to determine the critical needs of end users.

OUR WORK
Experienced and proven
We partner with manufacturers, operators, user communities, and academic researchers in safety-critical industries, often highly-regulated—such as aviation and healthcare—where errors can directly impact the health and safety of people.
ABOUT US
Meet our team
We have been developing products and systems that keep humans safe for over two decades.
Howard Au
Principal, Systems Safety / Human Factors / Pilot
Howard has over 20 years of experience developing cockpit interfaces, crew procedures, and systems for use in high-stress, high-workload, and time-critical operations. His experience also includes flight test planning, experimental flight test operations, unmanned aerial vehicle operations, and commercial airline operations. He is a commercial pilot, flight instructor, and holds type ratings in the Boeing 737, 747, 757, 767, and 787.
Pam Munro
Senior Engineer, Human Factors
Pam has over 18 years of experience developing cockpit interfaces and crew procedures. She also has over 16 years of Human Factors experience designing and evaluating systems in safety-critical domains, including flight operations, aircraft maintenance, and flight planning and dispatch for commercial, military, and experimental flight operations and emergency medical response.
